The prosecutor of the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in the case against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Kashif Javed, was allegedly attacked by three unidentified persons in Lahore.

A First Information Report pertaining to the incident stated that Javed was being followed by an unknown person on his route from his resident to the court for the last few days.

Javed stated that he had informed senior officials about being followed. On Monday night, according to the prosecutor, a white Corolla blocked his path and then proceeded to purposefully ram into his car on main Gulberg road in Lahore.

Javed said that the car rammed into his ‘very dangerously’ and damaged the front side of his car. Furthermore, one of the three people in the Corolla got off and advanced towards Javed’s car but the prosecutor fled the scene. Javed has urged police to take strong action against the culprits.

Rana Sanaullah, a member of the National Assembly and the PML-N, was arrested in July by the Anti-Narcotics Force in a drugs case said to involve banned outfits.

The former Punjab law minister was arrested on his way to Lahore from Faisalabad. According to ANF officials, drugs had been recovered from his car.
