A video went viral on social media wherein Lahore School Of Economics’ Dean of Business Administration Faculty Dr Sohail Zafar insulted a student who was demanding cancellation of online classes because the software for online exams was not working properly on his laptop.

It can be seen in the video that Dr Sohail Zafar was aggressively asking the student to get a laptop by hook or by crook. “You are a non-serious student who don’t pay any attention to the studies,” he said.

He further said that he know that the student can easily afford a new laptop of Rs 40,000. “I know how much poor you are, if can afford a new laptop then get it on rent,” he added.

Twitterati have condemned the rude behaviour of the professor with a student who was just expressing his concerns using hashtag #BoycottLSE.

Ammar Ali Jaan, an activist and academia himself, took to Twitter to comment on the behavior of the teacher. He said, “Dr Sohail Zafar's condescending behaviour is an example of the typical teacher-student relation in Pakistan. Our system wants to turn students into obedient zombies rather than critical thinkers.” He further extended his ‘full support’ for the students of LSE.
