The legendary actor had secretly visited Pakistan twice to play his role in normalising relations between the two countries. Former foreign minister of Pakistan Khurshid Kasuri visited India in 2015 and also went to Dilip Kumar's home. Addressing the Indian media outside the actor's residence, he said that Dilip Kumar always wanted to bring the two countries closer and that he secretly visited Pakistan twice for the purpose. Kasuri said that he has disclosed this in his book 'Neither a Hawk nor a Dove'.
