Pakistan, Chinese Officials Agree To Expedite Investigation Into Dasu Incident
Pakistan and Chinese authorities held a discussion over the Dasu bus incident and agreed to complete the investigation into the accident at the earliest. 12 people, including nine Chinese nationals, had lost lives in the incident which was followed by contradictory statements about its nature by Pakistani officials.

The decision to carry forward the investigation was taken during a telephonic conversation between Chinese Minister for Public Security Zhao Kezhi and Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had a conversation with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang over the phone. Khan had assured China of a thorough investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed said that the investigation into the Dasu incident was about to be completed. Addressing the media, he further said that security agencies have been directed to provide better security to the Chinese nationals working in Pakistan. 15 Chinese officials, he said, have arrived in the country to help investigate the Dasu incident.
