Ehsaas Kafalat Programme To Bring Transgender Persons Into Its Fold
Government’s social safety net ‘Ehsaas’ has decided to bring transgender people across Pakistan into the fold of Ehsaas Kafalat programme under which they will be provided financial assistance.
The decision was approved in a board meeting of the programme. It was decided that all transgenders residing in a household will be provided assistance.

Further, 154 district-level Ehsaas centres will be set up across the country following model of the recently-opened One Window Ehsaas Centre in Islamabad's Sitara Market. This step will allow beneficiaries of the programme to access all services under one room. Work on the project is likely to commence soon.

Expansion of Ehsaas’ education stipends to secondary and higher secondary levels was also approved in the board meeting. The programme will begin in July in districts across the country.
