Bilawal, Qureshi Trade Barbs During NA Session
Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi engaged in a heated debate during the National Assembly session. When FM Qureshi responded to the PPP Chairman's criticism pertaining to speaker Asad Qaiser's handling of the budget session, Bilawal said Qureshi used to campaign in the world to get prime ministership when he was PPP's foreign minister. "He was dismissed as FM due to this campaign," Bilawal said, adding that he had known the foreign minister since his childhood.

The PPP chairman then criticised his performance as the foreign minister and said that it was his failure that US President Joe Biden has still not called Prime Minister Imran Khan. While responding to Bilawal's remarks, FM Qureshi made an ageist comment and referred to the PPP chairman as a 'kid'. He said that it would take a while before 'this child' learns politics.

Supporters of both parties have been cheering on their leaders for the wars of words that have been going on in the National Assembly ever since the budget session began.

The PPP chairman in his speech today also lamented at the opposition having been denied the right to properly address the budget and submit cut motions. He also mentioned how two of his party's MNAs came to the session despite deaths in their families because his party took the budget session seriously.
