Despite Ban On Tourism, PM Imran Plans To Spend Eid In Nathiagali
Prime Minister Imran Khan reportedly plans on spending Eid holidays in mountain resort town, Nathiagali, along with his family. Geo News quoted sources as saying that the prime minister will offer Eid prayers in Nathiagali and will be taking a break from official duties during Eid holidays.
To mitigate the spread of Covid, the government has banned visits to tourists spots in the country during week-long Eid holidays from May 10 to 15. The ban however does not appear to apply on the PM, who has decided to go to the tourist spot.
The ban on tourism was imposed last month by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), from May 8-16.

"Closure of tourist resorts, public parks and hotels in/around tourist spots to remain closed," an NCOC press statement had stated.

Meanwhile, social media users criticised the PM for planning to violate the Covid restrictions put in place by his own government.
