US Acts Against Pakistani Company Working As Russian Proxy To Influence Presidential Election
A Pakistan-based organisation and six individuals have been sanctioned by the United States for collaborating with a Russian network that tried to manipulate presidential elections in America.

The News reported that the company named Second Eye Solution and six Pakistanis were sanctioned by the American authorities. 32 Russian organisations and individuals were also sanctioned for trying to interfere in the US presidential elections held last year. These groups and individuals were said to be working on behalf of the Russian government.

The US Department of Treasury said on Thursday Second Eye Solution, the Pakistani group, also referred to as 'Forwarders', was part of the network that made and sold fake identities and helped the Internet Research Agency (IRA) hide its identity to escape sanctions.

The IRA is a Russian troll farm that was allegedly recruited by Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to interfere in the 2016 US presidential elections.
