SC Rejects PTI's Appeal Against ECP's Decision To Hold Re-Election In NA-75 Daska
The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday dismissed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)'s petition against Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)'s orders to hold re-election in the entire constituency of NA-75 Daska.

Headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial the three-member bench of the apex court took up the appeal against the ECP's decision filed by PTI candidate Ali Asjad Malhi. on February 25, the ECP had ordered re-poll in the constituency after it feared that the results were manipulated amid election day violence and the mysterious disappearance of election officers.

Justice Bandial remarked that the decision has been taken by the top court in light of the law and its own jurisdiction, adding that some guidelines would be issued to avoid such incidents in the future.
