Acted Against TLP Because It Challenged The State, Says PM
Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that action against Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) was being taken under Pakistan's anti-terrorism law because the extremist group had challenged the writ of the state.

In a series of tweets, the PM said that the government decided to ban the TLP because its workers beat up the people and law enforcement personnel.

The PM added that no one can be above the law and the Constitution.

The proscribed extremist group held violent protests across the country for three days against their leader Saad Rizvi's detention on Monday following his demand for the expulsion of the French ambassador from Pakistan.
The rioters beat up policemen and four cops lost their lives in the riots while more than 300 were injured.
