Interior Ministry Demands Details Of Nawaz Sharif's Medical Treatment In UK
The Ministry of Interior has asked former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to share details of his medical treatment in the United Kingdom. According to a letter sent by the Ministry of Interior to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the former has asked for details that include: the doctor currently treating Nawaz Sharif, the diagnosis, the course of treatment, copies of test reports and payments for treatment.

In pursuit of this information, the Ministry of Interior has asked Nawaz Sharif to sign a form giving his consent for his medical treatment details to be shared with Pakistan's High Commission in London. It calls for Pakistani diplomats to get in touch with medical personnel treating Nawaz Sharif.

Further, in yet another letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior has forbidden the processing of Nawaz Sharif's passport renewal application. The Ministry of Interior takes the view that the former prime minister is now a declared absconder and proclaimed offender as per the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in the Toshakhana reference and a reference of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The Ministry of Interior has called upon Nawaz Sharif to return to Pakistan to face charges against him as well as serve out the rest of his term in prison.
