Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed has revealed that newly-elected Senate Deputy Chairman Mirza Afridi, who was the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s candidate, had used money to win the election. “I told opposition’s candidate Abdul Ghafoor Haidery that the rate [at which votes are being bought] is high, so he would have a hard time winning the election” the minister said.
He expressed these views while talking to anchor Samar Abbas during a show on Hum News.
