CM Buzdar Creates New Post In Punjab Police To Re-Employ Retired Uncle
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has appointed his retired uncle Muhammad Ameer Taimoor for three years to a post in Special Branch of police that he created despite a ban on fresh recruitments. The News reported that Taimoor is the husband of the chief minister's paternal aunt.

The report further cited a nine-page official file of the provincial government that revealed that the post was especially created in defiance of rules to accommodate CM Buzdar's uncle. He had retired a mere two months ago from the police department as an officer in BS-18.

The Punjab government notification issued in this regard says that his appointment has been made on a contractual basis for three years as the Director of South Punjab's Special Branch. The CM's uncle will now receive Rs300,000 per month as salary, which is said to be double the amount he was earlier drawing.

Before his appointment as the SP of Special Branch, he had never served in the Special Branch before. The post was created in January despite there being several Special Branch officers senior than him. An official source was quoted by The News as saying that the new post was created to accommodate CM Buzdar's uncle.
