Aurat March: Placards That Stood Out
Aurat Marches were held in major cities of Pakistan on Monday to mark International Working Women's Day. Lahore's Aurat March began from Press Club and ended at Alhamra where speeches and performances were held. The charged participants were chanting slogans against patriarchal violence and discrimination.

In Islamabad, the march went ahead despite the administration's refusal to issue a no-objection certificate. The organisers criticised the authorities for their lack of cooperation, and said that the hurdles would not stop them from exercising their right to free assembly.

Meanwhile, Aurat March's placards continued to catch attention as many protestors adopted creative ways to express their grievances and demands. Here are some of our favourite placards from the march.
