Search For Missing Mountaineers Continues Amid Adverse Weather Conditions
The families of missing climbers said that after "72 gruelling hours of non-stop intensive efforts" that were halted the day earlier due to bad weather, they made the difficult decision to continue with their rescue mission.

Late on Friday, the three mountaineers Muhammad Ali Sadpara, Jon Snorri and Juan Pablo Mohr lost contact with the base camp and were declared missing on Saturday after their support team stopped receiving messages from them while scaling the second-highest mountain in the world.

The hopes for the three climbers' survival were dwindling as thick clouds on Tuesday continued to obscure K2. The search and rescue operation for the three climbers will resume on Tuesday, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) official, until the weather improves and all resources at the disposal of the military have been mobilised.

The official said both air and ground efforts are being used as the search and rescue operation enters the fourth day, recognizing that the search mission was facing difficulties because of the high altitude and adverse weather conditions. He added, however, that "no stone will be left unturned" and the search will proceed.
