Number of Covid-19 cases have seen a hike in Punjab as 748 positive cases were reported on Friday, the highest number of cases reported in this month. This rising number has concerned the health experts all over the province.
Breaking down the new 748 cases, 430 of them were reported from Lahore. The cumulative number of confirmed cases in Lahore has reached 86,767, reported Dawn.
Along with a surge in positive Covid cases 16 people have also died of the virus in the last 24 hours.
Health authorities say that situation in Lahore is worrying. An official from the health deapartment said that it is still not too late for “medics and experts to dig out factors behind the new surge in the infection cases and devise a strategy in this respect.”
