Missing Awami National Party (ANP) press secretary Asad Khan Achakzai’s dead body was recovered from Quetta airport.
The ANP member was abducted by unidentified individuals five months ago from Quetta Airport Road.
The kidnapper was caught by Quetta Police only a few days ago where during his investigation he had revealed that Achakzai is dead. He also disclosed the location of his body. After his body was recovered, it was revealed by the police that the ANP member had been gunned to death on the same day of his kidnapping.
Achakzai was kidnapped he was heading to a provincial council meeting. After his disappearance ANP provincial leaders blocked the Chaman-Quetta highway due to which there was a food shortage in the city. However, the Highway was later opened and protests were shifted to other places.
Activists have condemned the murder and called on the authorities to catch the perpetrators.
