WhatsApp Will Now Let Facebook Access Your Data
The newest WhatsApp’s update has a fresh privacy policy which will allow Facebook to have access to the information of WhatsApp users.

This new update has to be accepted by February 8, 2021 in order to continue using the platform.

In the new upstate, WhatsApp says it is collecting new information around from your device such as “battery level, signal strength, app version, browser information, mobile network, connection information (including phone number, mobile operator or ISP), language and time zone, IP address, device operations information, and identifiers (including identifiers unique to Facebook Company Products associated with the same device or account).”

The new WhatsApp update also mentions that it uses Facebook’s global infrastructure and data centers. The new update allows WhatsApp to collect “IP addresses and other information like phone number area codes to estimate your general location (city, country).”
