Police Arrest Mufti Kifayatullah’s Sons In Raid At His House
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Mufti Kifayatullah’s four family members were arrested after his residence was raided by police to arrest the politician on charges of maligning the Pakistan Army.
The News reported that police took four members of Kifayatullah’s family into custody after they could not find him at the house. Sources revealed that the politician was booked under Section 6 of the Constitution on treason charges after receiving an official letter from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home Department.
The JUI-F leader has refuted the charges levelled against him. He claims that the government was pressuring him into changing his loyalty.
Police arrested Mufti Kifaytullah’s two sons, Shabbir Kifayat and Hassan Kifayat, his elder brother, Qazi Habibur Rehman, and brother-in-law, Qari Abdul Manan.
