Lahore Doctor Confines Sister To Room For 4 Years To Deny Inheritance
A doctor from Lahore, Faraz Munir allegedly confined his sister to a room in his house for four years so that he won’t have to give her share of inheritance to her. She was subjected to torture during her captivity.

The Punjab police raided Faraz Munir’s residence in Valencia Town and took the victim Shabnam Farooq into their custody.

Filing a complaint with the police the sister claimed that Faraz had confined her to a room for four years. She further added that due to his influential position he was able to have drafted fake documents that declared Shabana mentally ill. Shabana also said that she was sent to psychiatric hospitals on and off during this time.

“Once I was discharged my brother and his wife would torture me and even gave me medicine which ruined my mental health,”

Shabnam explained how she was settled in Multan but had to come stay in Lahore after Faraz’s constant insistence.

“But Faraz came there and forced to come and live with his family in Lahore…all this just because he sold our father’s house for Rs1.4 million and didn’t give me a single penny.”
