Gulf Rulers To Visit Pakistan To Hunt The Vulnerable Houbara Bustard
Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will be visiting Pakistan over the next few days on private trips.

Dawn reported diplomatic sources as saying the two Gulf leaders are coming to Pakistan for houbara bustard hunting in Balochistan from Jan 22 to Jan 24.

It is unlikely that they would visit Islamabad during their visit this time. After returning from the hunting trips, the Abu Dhabi crown prince had in the past made stopovers in the federal capital.

Houbara bustards are a special breed of chicken-sized, migratory birds. They migrate in thousands every winter from Central Asia to the arid planes of southern Pakistan. Imran Khan before being sworn in as the Prime Minister of Pakistan has vehemently apposes the hunting of these rare species.
