After a video of LUMS students partying at a resort in Malam Jaba went viral on social media, an FIR has reportedly been registered against Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) students and the hotel management for “spreading obscenity”.
While many had enjoyed the viral clip and termed it heartening, some social media users had said that male and female students dancing together was an un-Islamic act and that the students should face consequences.
Reacting to the news of FIR, social media users have termed the step unnecessary and said that it reeks of extremist mindset.
Why though? Because of their horrendous dance moves? This is stupid. https://t.co/0VgFo8HdF1
