A 21-year-old man was gunned down by Islamabad police personnel who allegedly shot him 22 times for not stopping his car upon being asked to do so. The incident took place around 2 AM on Saturday.
17 bullets hit the young man, Usama Satti, leading to his death. His father in a video has appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan for justice for his son’s murder at the hands of the police.
Sharing details of the incident, the victim’s father further said that the SHO had admitted that Usama was innocent, but now refuses to give an official statement to the media.
Five policemen allegedly involved in the crime have been arrested.
Meanwhile, the incident has generated an uproar on social media with people questioning the rising crime rate in the capital and the police’s alleged involvement in the recent killing.
