Two Faisalabad Policemen Booked For Mishandling Maid Torture Case
Two policemen from Faisalabad have been booked on charges of negligence for their failure to handle and follow the right procedure in the case of torture of a minor domestic help. Both cops, Investigating Officer Zeeshan and Madina Town SHO Aftab Iqbal have been booked under Section 155-C of the Police Order, with no arrests made so far.

Officer Zeeshan’s is said to have brought the arrested suspect before a court in a private vehicle. Further, the policeman didn’t get the medical examination conducted of the minor.

Raza Munir, the arrested suspect and his family, tortured a domestic house help maid on December 3 and by Dec 5 the video of the incident went viral on social media. After the clip went viral, Child Protection and Welfare Bureau filed a complaint against the Munir family and both Raza Munir and his wife were arrested.

However, Munir managed to get bail for release the very next day while his wife was sent on judicial remand for 14 days. Just two days later, she was also granted bail. Munir’s daughter and her husband had already secured pre-arrest bails in the same case.

The police official’s alleged mishandling of the case was criticised on social media with people demanding swift action against the perpetrators.
