Politicians, Activists Urge Canada To Further Investigate Karima Baloch’s ‘Mysterious’ Death
Around 250 citizens including members of academia, students, journalists, members of feminist collectives, ethnic groups, resistance movements, student bodies, Parliamentarians, business owners and labourers have called on the Canadian police to further investigate the mysterious death of exiled Baloch activist Karima Baloch. Two siblings of Karima Baloch have also signed the petition.

In the initial report, the Canadian police had ruled out ‘foul play’ in her death.
“We, a collective of activists, journalists, academics, intellectuals and concerned citizens of the world express our grave concern over the mysterious death of exiled Baloch activist Karima Baloch in Toronto, Canada who went missing last Sunday on 20th of December and was located dead on 21st December in a lake in the city.

Karima Baloch was a well-known human rights and political activist who took refuge in Canada after fleeing Pakistan in 2015 due to serious threats to her life in Balochistan, owing to her political resistance against militarization, enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killing in her homeland,” the petition says.
