Today marks the 8th death anniversary of slain Awami National Party (ANP) leader Bashir Ahmed Bilour who was killed in a terror attack in 2012. Twitterati paid him respect using the hashtag #SalamBashirBilourShaheed which has been trending on Pakistan Twitter. It is being reported that the ceremony for his death anniversary will be held in Bacha Khan Markaz Peshawar where provincial and central political leaders will highlight achievements and different aspects of Bashir Ahmed Khan's life in their speeches.
Bashir Ahmed Bilour was martyred in a bomb blast in Peshawar on December 22, 2012. The terror attack also claimed the lives of nine more people with 18 injured. The ANP leadership had been on the receiving end of violence during the wave of terror at the time. Bashir Bilour’s son Haroon Bilour also lost his life in a terror attack in 2018.
