An FIR was registered against blogger/social media activist Ahmad Waqass Goraya in Islamabad on charges of carrying out propaganda against state institutions including the Pakistan Army.
ARY News reported that a man on Friday lodged a complaint with the Koral police station against Ahmad Waqass Goaraya. The complainant maintained that Goraya continuously defames Pakistan and its institutions including the armed forces.
Further, the FIR says that Goraya had fled to Holland and was spreading disinformation about Pakistan on social media. The complainant has urged the authorities to act against the blogger for his 'anti-state activities'.
Ahmad Waqass Goraya was abducted in 2017 and remained in captivity for weeks. He was among the five bloggers who went missing from different parts of the country in January 2017.
