8 Pakistani Nurses, Midwives Honoured By WHO For ‘Outstanding’ Contributions

Eight Pakistani nurses have been honored by World Health Organisation (WHO) that has featured them in its 2020 List of 100+ Outstanding Women Nurses and Midwives. The nurses and midwives include Rozina Karmaliani, Yasmin Parpio, Samina Vertejee, Saima Sachwani, Shela Hirani, Neelam Punjani & Sadaf Saleem. All 8 of them are from Aga Khan University’s School of Nursing & Midwifery.

Marking the end of 2020, which the This list is a partnership of the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Nursing Now, International Council of Nurses (ICN), International Confederation of Midwives (ICM), and Women in Global Health (WGH) and features the achievements and contributions of nurses and midwives from 43 countries and across 6 global regions, to recognize these women and the millions of nurses and midwives around the world.
