Several Policemen Injured In Clash With TLP Workers As Violent Protest Continues
Several policemen including an SHO were injured in a clash that continued throughout the day on Sunday between police and workers of Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP) who have gathered in Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh to protest against French President Emanuel Macron over blasphemous cartoons.

Dawn reported that the police had to use teargas shelling to disperse the protestors, but they did not leave. The protest is still taking place and people fear an untoward situation. Waris Khan police station SHO Abdul Aziz is among those injured in the clash.

On Saturday, traders on Murree Road and adjoining areas were warned by the police to keep their businesses closed on the day. The entry points of the city were sealed using containers.
