Deputy Commissioner Orders Activist Ammar Jan’s Arrest, Says He Is Threat To Public Safety

Punjab government has issued detention orders against activist Ammar Ali Jan, claiming that he is a threat to public safety. The police reportedly stopped him on his way back from the Students Solidarity March and attempted to arrest him.

The detention order issued by Punjab Deputy Commissioner directs the police to place him under arrest for 30 days.
