Alleged Rigging In GB: Maryam, Bilawal Hold Telephonic Conversation
Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League N (PMLN) Vice President Maryam Nawaz have condemned the alleged rigging in Gilgit Baltistan polls during a telephonic conversation on Tuesday.

”Despite the rigging, the opposition parties getting more votes than the ruling coalition is proof of the PTI's unpopularity,” Bilawal told Maryam.

Maryam Nawaz said that the people of GB are standing with the opposition.

Bilawal Bhutto and Maryam Nawaz on Monday alleged that the GB elections had been rigged. The PPP chairman joined a protest in GB against the alleged rigging.

Maryam Nawaz also accused the government of rigging the elections with the help of "state machinery" and "selectors". However she added that even after rigging, PTI could not win a simple majority.

Earlier, Bilawal and Maryam Nawaz had held a one on one meeting last week during the campaign for GB elections. They decided to further strengthen the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). It was also decided that both parties would respect the each other's narrative. They also decided to launch a joint campaign if the elections were rigged.
