On Monday, Shahdara police registered an FIR against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, three former army generals, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, as well as over a dozen other Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) loyalists for conspiring against the state.
Reacting to the FIR, the AJK prime minister said his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi “must be feeling elated”.
