Nawaz Sharif Refuses To Answer Why PMLN Supported COAS Bajwa’s Extension
Talking to reporters on Thursday in London, former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) leader supreme leader Nawaz Sharif refused to answer a journalist’s question about his party’s support to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Bajwa’s extension.
It a video tweeted by reporter Murtaza Ali Shah; Nawaz Sharif is seen giving a press talk in London where he was asked why his party agreed for General Bajwa’s extension and if he regrets that decision. Nawaz Sharif dodged the question and instead went on to say that the reality of Imran Khans claims about accountability has come forward.
“The entire country will now attest that Imran Khan’s claims about accountability are full of lies, hatred and about revenge instead,” said Nawaz Sharif, “ The Supreme Court of Pakistan should take Suo Motto action against Imran Khan’s misuse of NAB and end the series of revenge being taken.”
He further referred to the remarks made by Justice Shaukat siddiqui and recent allegations made by Bashir Memon as proof of Imran Khan’s intentions. When asked what his party strategy will be regarding Imran Khan, Nawaz Sharif replied that the allegations made by Bashir Memon speak for themselves are provide proof beyond doubt regarding Imran Khan’s actions.

Recently, Bashir Memon alleged that he was asked to file a terrorism case against Maryam Nawaz’s social media cell by the “highest office in the country.” Nawaz Sharif made recent statements saying that such actions by a few army officials lead to the defamation of the entire institution.
