Bilawal Asked COAS To Probe IG Sindh’s ‘Detention’ Because PM Is Silent, Says PML-N
Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is responsible for Sindh Inspector General of Police Mushtaq Mahar’s ‘detention’ ahead of Pakistan Muslim League – N (PML-N) leader Captain (r) Safdar’s arrest in Karachi on October 18.
The PML-N leader urged the judiciary to take a suo moto notice of the circumstances under which Captain Safdar was arrested. He said that the case is getting more complicated by the day, adding that the Constitution has been violated.
Abbasi said that PM Imran Khan has not issued any statement on the matter which is why PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asked Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa to take notice.
He further said that the government violated the sanctity of personal space by breaking into Maryam Nawaz’s room, adding that the orders for this violation came directly from Prime Minister Imran Khan. The former PM said Imran Khan gave unlawful orders and violated his oath.
Further, Abbasi said the two institutions that surrounded the IG office report to the PM, which is why he is to blame for the incident.
