PBA Management Terminates Widow Employee Upon Verbal Complaints By Subordinates
Rizwana Khan, an employee of Pakistan Broadcasting Association (PBA), has appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan to take notice of her 'unjustified and unfair' termination of service from the PCA.

She said that she was a widow with two young children adding that her termination from the job has turned their lives into a nightmare.

She was serving at the semi-government organization as Resource Person/ Music Arranger for the past 10 years, but last month the PBC management terminated her without mentioning any reason for her termination.

The termination letter, the widow holds, told her that her consolidation contract of 26 days booking basis as casual artist/music arranger is hereby terminated/ withdrawn vide PBC Headquarters.

According to Rizwana, her termination is not a result of the organizational policy but the alleged conspiracy hatched by her colleagues as they wanted to secure jobs for their children and relatives who were junior to her.

According to Rizwana, her colleagues Hafiz Noorullah, CPU-PBC, Rafiq PA to Controller and Wajid, an office boy, were used to speak against her to Controller Asif Khan and General Manager Ambreen Jabeen, adding that the seniors instead of checking her performance report acted upon the verbal complaints of her colleagues against her.

The widow is among more than 300 contractual employees of PBC who were terminated by the management.

Earlier, the management removed her designation as resource person, because in this capacity, she would be the most qualified person for a permanent job as resource person. While she was taking up the matter in different forms when last month she was handed over the termination letter by the office management.

She is not only curious where to apply for a job as her age for applying for a job has been over, but equally worried how she will manage her house rent and other expenses.

The widow has also appealed to PTI Senator Faisal Javed and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri to help her in securing her job.
