MQM-London To Take MQM-P To UK Courts Over Ownership Of Altaf's Residence

In response to Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) efforts to reclaim party headquarter 90, Muttahida Quami Movement-London (MQM) lashed out at the faction led by Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui for trying to 'take ownership of the MQM founder Altaf Hussain's residence'.

In a statement issued by the Central Coordinating Committee on Twitter, the MQM London termed the Bahadurabad group -- that was formed after the party leadership parted ways with Altaf Hussain over its 'anti-state speech'-- a 'traitor' for claiming the ownership of the properties of the MQM.

"The committee termed such claim as part of the nefarious agenda of perpetrators. It asserted that the MQM strongly believes in British justice system and would take due action with the law of the land."

The PTI and MQM-Pakistan entered an alliance after the former agreed to several demands put forth by the MQM leadership. The MQM-P’s demands included the recovery of missing persons affiliated with the party, granting it permission to reopen its offices, and kicking off development projects in Karachi and other urban centres of Sindh.
