The Supreme Court (SC) has sought instructions from the federal government over the judicial commission’s report concerning the Army Public School attack.
During the hearing of the case on Tuesday, Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed assured the parents of the martyred children that the court would fix the responsibility in the case.
“The perpetrators of negligence will be dealt with in accordance with the law,” CJP said
Seeking recommendations from the federal government, the court said that the case will be taken forward in light of the attorney general's reply.
During the hearing, a parent lamented that Pakistan was not safe even for children. However, Justice Ahsan assured that justice will be done and culprits would be held responsible.
The apex court also ordered the AGP to appear in person during the next hearing and adjourned the court for a month.
On July 10, the commission formed to probe the 2014 APS attack submitted its report to the top court. At least 140 people mostly children were killed in the attack.
