PPP Urges Govt To Start Hindu Temple Construction In Islamabad As Response To Ayodhya Temple
Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has called on the government to begin construction of a temple in Islamabad as a 'befitting response' to India where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to lay the foundation of a Hindu temple at the site of historic Babri mosque in Ayodhya today.

In a statement issued by the party, PPP Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar said that the PTI government should immediately remove all hurdles in the way of the construction of the temple in Islamabad and inaugurate its construction work on Wednesday (today).

He added that this move from Pakistan will help send a message to the international community that citizens belonging to all faiths are treated equally in the country. Khokhar said, "It is the demand of Jinnah’s Pakistan that the religious rights of all the minorities should be protected in the country."

The PPP leader also criticised the Indian prime minister’s decision to build Raam Temple in Ayodhya, saying that
Narendra Modi would “blacken the face of secular India” through this action.
