Politicians, Celebrities Wish Pakistanis A Happy Independence Day

As the nation celebrates its 73 years of Independence, people from different walks of life shared their wishes to mark the occasion.


From right activist Mushaal Hussein Mullick to cricketer Junaid Khan and Opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif to Speaker NA Asad Qaidar, many public figures took to social media to wish their countrymen a Happy Independence Day on Friday.

Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik’s wife Mushaal Hussein Mullick wished Pakistanis on the occasion as Long Live Pakistan! Freedom is every human beings right.


Actress Zhalay Sarhdi tweets, “The responsibility is ours to be free of our defeatist thinking, lack of acceptance of others and wait for savior! We are it! We need to take the reins and do our part with Unity, Faith and Discipline.”


Actor Hamza Ali Abbasi wished the countrymen. Happy Birthday dear Pakistan! May Allah give us taufeeq (opportunity) to make him the centre of our existence and understand his message with all our honesty. May Allah bless Pakistan.


Actress Nadia Jamil while giving a brief update on her health also expressed her love for the country. “Azaadi Mubarak Pakistan & all Pakistanis.  First day of radiation over. Alhamdulillah.Feeling drained, tired, blessed. Life is not meant to be easy, but peace, love & generosity make it so much easier and keep one focused on our blessing! Throw out light & it will shine back at you.


Cricketer Junaid Khan also took to twitter to express his feeling and pride. “Happy Independence Day to all Pakistanis around the world. Let us all become responsible citizens and look after our country. Make it a better place for all.


Opposition leader and PML-President Shehbaz Sharif: Pakistan is a living miracle of Quaid-i-Azam’s political genius & his rock like determination. Quaid’s motto of unity, faith & discipline is the organizing principle for our people in the journey to find our rightful place in the comity of nations. Seven decades down the line, the nation needs to have introspection. An internally harmonious, politically stable and economically prosperous Pakistan cannot only guard its own interests but also those of Kashmirs and other oppressed people around the world.
