PML-N MNA Demands Release Of Blasphemy Accused’s Killer

A Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmaker has defended the murder in a Peshawar courtroom in the name of blasphemy, saying the suspect killed the blasphemy-accused because the courts failed to provide 'justice' despite lapse of two years.

In a speech in the National Assembly, MNA Imran Ali Shah said the suspected killer should be released via presidential ordinance. He said either the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government would pay the blood money to the victim or he could sell his house to do that and get the suspect released.

"All blasphemers, including #Barelvi cleric Ashraf Jalali who insulted Lady Fatima, should be immediately punished," he added.
