LHC Orders Arrest Of Girl For Entering Into Same-Sex Marriage
The Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has issued an arrest warrant for Akash, aka Asma Bibi, who had married another girl in Taxila after undergoing an alleged sex-change operation.

The News reported that during the last hearing, the judge had ordered the formation of a medical board to test to identify the sex of the said person.

The judge expressed displeasure over the absence of Akash and directed the police to present him in the court at any cost and adjourned the hearing. The police told Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz that Akash was not present in his house despite frequent visits.

The couple is facing is case for contracting a homosexual marriage, as a petition filed in the high court had claimed that Akash was allegedly a woman who pretended to be a man to get married. However, Akash, also known as Aasma, maintained that he had converted into a man now and has the medical reports to prove it.




He also presented the new computerised national identity card (CNIC) he had acquired after undergoing a sex-change operation. When asked by the court, the girl said that she was satisfied and happy with her marriage and that her ‘husband' was fulfilling all her needs responsibly and that she wanted to live with Akash.
