Accused Killed Outside Courtroom In Lahore

A man named Muhammad Nawaz facing the murder charge was 'shot in the head' outside a courtroom at the sessions court in Lahore.

Nawaz had been booked by Shahdara police for the alleged murder of his relative, Javed, over a property dispute. When the deceased arrived at the court for hearing of his petition for pre-arrest bail in the case, the assailant appeared there and gunned him down.

Police failed to act on time and the suspected killer escaped the court with ease.

Later, Capital City Police Officer Zulfiqar Hameed along with other senior police officers reached the sessions court. He met the Lahore Bar Association’s office-bearers and discussed the loopholes in the security arrangements in and outside the sessions court.

The LBA leaders condemned the incident and the police failure to ensure the security of the citizens on the court’s premises.
