Abida Parveen Placed Amongst World's 500 Most Influential Muslims
The annual issue of 'The World's 500 Most Influential Muslims' features a number of Pakistani's amongst whom is the Sufi Queen, Abida Parveen. Atif Aslam, Malala Yousufzair, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Maulana Tariq Jameel and Prime Minister Imran Khan are also part of the list published by The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre of Jordan.

The Sufi singer  is listed as one of the most influential Muslims in Arts and Culture. The publication writes about her: “Parveen is an internationally acclaimed vocalist, often referred to as ‘the Queen of Sufi mystic singing’. She is the only woman to reach this level of influence in devotional music."

Other than Abida Parveen, singer Atif Aslam has also been featured by the publication and is listed at number 19th as the most popular social media presence run by a Muslim. Academy Award winner journalist and filmmaker, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinay is also a part of the issue. Furthermore, Prime Minister Imran Khan is also a part of the list as the Man of the Year 2020.
