Shopping Malls, Markets To Remain Open In Sindh
The markets and shopping centres in Sindh will remain open ahead of Eid, said provincial information minister Nasir Hussain Shah on Wednesday.

He said that the government will not further tighten the lockdown, adding the government will maintain existing measures in the province to contain the spread of coronavirus.

He announced that markets and shopping centres will continue to remain open till 7:00 in the evening before Eidul Azha and that the government would take strict measures to enforce the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Last week, Sindh CM’s spokesperson Senator Murtaza Wahab said the recovery rate was 86 per cent. “As of today, more than 100,000 patients have recovered from #COVID19 in #Sindh. This is 86% of the total patients in the province,” he had tweeted.

It may be noted here that the Punjab government has already announced a province-wide 'smart lockdown' till August 5 to curb the coronavirus cases ahead of Eid. The decision was taken by the Buzdar government on Tuesday. It had also banned all kinds of gatherings, including religious, in the province to stem the Covid-19 cases.
