Ramiz Raja Shares Photo Of Rainwater From India Claiming It To Be From Karachi

Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani trolled former cricketer Ramiz Raja after the latter shared a picture of an inundated area claiming it to be Karachi.

In a tweet, Raja mocked the Sindh government, saying it has arranged 'tea' for the citizens of Karachi.

However, in response, Ghani asked Raja to tell him more about the locality in Karachi that was supposedly inundated.

Raja had to eat to his words after people called him out for sharing a misleading picture. The photo shared by Raja was taken in Mumbai last year and has been used many times in memes linked to tea.

The photo came at a time when the Sindh government was already facing criticism for its inability to deal with the urban flooding in the port city after heavy rains.

Earlier, former skipper Wasim Akram had also said that his heart goes out to all affected after seeing the footage of Karachi underwater. “I can’t say I’m not surprised that this has happened yet again. A wake-up call? No it’s a problem that needs to be addressed period! We need to fix our beautiful city.”
