‘PM Imran Is In Alliance With Terrorists’: Bilawal Accuses Govt Of Protecting Ehsanullah Ehsan

Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government of giving an NRO [National Reconciliation Ordinance] to former Tehreek-e-Taliban spokesperson Ehsanullah Ehsan.

Speaking in the National Assembly on Thursday, the PPP chief said that the government had already given an NRO to Ehsan, who had admitted his role in the Army Public School massacre that took place in 2014, now it wanted to let Indian spy Kulbhushan Jhadav off the hook.

He said his question regarding the escape of Ehsanullah Ehsan never made it to the agenda of the NA proceedings and added that the nation deserved to know how did the ex-TTP spokesperson escape.

The PPP chief went on to accuse Prime Minister Imran Khan of having a 'soft corner' for TTP militants. He said the PM never criticised the TTP even when these people were killing Pakistan Army soldiers in the terror operations.

He also alluded to threats made by Ehsanullah Ehsan, saying if you hold 'a press conference against the prime minister, you get death threats from the Taliban'.

Bilawal said it's fine if the government wanted to ignore the concerns raised by the PPP regarding Ehsanullah Ehsan, but it will have to answer the parents whose children were killed in the APS attack.

At least 144 people, mostly children, were killed when Taliban gunmen stormed a school in Peshawar in 2014. The responsibility of the attack was claimed by TTP in a statement issued by its spokesperson Ehsanullah Ehsan.
