Pakistan’s Covid-19 Recovery Rate Rises To 81%
The total number of recovered coronavirus patients in the country has reached 219,783 after Pakistan reported 6,608 more recoveries in the past 24 hours.

According to estimates, at least 81 per cent patients have been recovered, whereas the number of new cases is also seeing a downward trend. However, at least 1,316 people are still in critical condition.

In Sindh, CM's spokesperson Senator Murtaza Wahab said the recovery rate was 86 per cent. "As of today more than 100,000 patients have recovered from #COVID19 in #Sindh. This is 86% of the total patients in the province," he tweeted.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation also shared the relatively good news about the virus. The WHO is seeing intense transmission of the coronavirus in relatively few countries, the UN health body's chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, according to Reuters.

“We continue to see intense transmission in a relatively small group of countries,” he told a virtual briefing in Geneva.

“Two-thirds of all cases are from 10 countries. Almost half of all cases reported so far are from just three countries.” He also said that just because cases may be at a low level where someone lives, it doesn't mean they should let down their guard.
