Pakistan has recorded the lowest number of Covid-19 deaths since May 28, as only 51 deaths were reported in the past 24 hours.

The decrease in the cases has led the government Prime Minister Imran Khan to declare this outcome a result of the smart lockdowns-- a strategy his government kept on touting.
Although, the government may have let its guard down, the experts warned that it was too early to declare victory against the virus that has already infected more than 250,000 people across the country with near 5,500 deaths.
The low number of cases has raised many an eyebrow. Opposition leader and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has accused the government of decreasing the Covid-19 tests to hide the actual number of the cases.
Health experts also cited a significant decrease in the number of tests as one of the reasons behind dwindling new Covid-19 cases.
