Lahore Police Official Goes Missing Under Mysterious Circumstances
A month after a Punjab Police sub-inspector was kidnapped from his house in Lahore, another police officer has gone missing in the provincial capital.
According to a tweet shared by a social media user, who is a part of the Haqooq-e-Khalq Movement, the constable was kidnapped on Saturday. It went on to accuse the state institutions of these disappearances without sharing the relevant evidence.

The tweet alleged that other institutions ‘headed by corrupt officers surrendered to the black sheep in the security agencies’, while requesting the DIG Operations Lahore ‘not to surrender to these goons’, without specifying who these ‘goons’ were.
“If u remain silent today, tomorrow u will be the victim,” it warned.
On June 13, SI Amir Shahzad was kidnapped by unidentified armed men from his home in the Kahna area. His brother Asif Shahzad had told the police that some 12 armed men entered the house of Amir on Friday, snatched his mobile phone, bundled him into a van and took him away. He said his brother had no enmity with anyone.
According to a report, Amir was very active on social media and used to target state institutions while uploading objectionable material against them.
The tweet also mentioned the case of SSP Tahir Dawar, who was abducted from Islamabad, and his dead body was later found in Afghanistan.
