Reacting on the development, dismissed premier’s daughter Maryam Nawaz said the decision was a victory, saying it was a day of gratitude for the party’s supporters.

In July last year, Maryam released a video, which, according to her, featured a conversation between the judge and Nasir Butt, a person who she described as her father’s loyal friend. She had said that the judge contacted Nasir and told him he was under the feeling of “guilt” after announcing the “unjust” decision against the former premier. According to her, he had subsequently invited Nasir at his residence where the video was recorded.
